UKEmbedded Conference 2020
Postponed till May 2021 - Re-discover the UK Embedded landscape at the newest and most relevant embedded engineering conference and exhibition.
Given the current situation with Covid-19, it will come as no surprise that we have taken the decision to postpone UKEmbedded. We are aiming to hold the event during May of 2021. Watch this space for any updates in due course. We hope everyone stays safe during this challenging time.
The UK embedded industry is a niche, yet well-defined landscape. It is a close-knit community of professionals who, when given the chance to come together and explore new ideas and technological advances, keep innovation high on the UK agenda. This makes UKEmbedded the most relevant new addition to the UK embedded event calendar.
Alongside the economic landscape, the UK embedded event calendar has changed dramatically in the last decade.
The team at Hitex has identified a need for embedded engineers to have a medium-sized technical UK conference, so the inaugural date has been set for 14th May 2020. The focus will be on a strong conference agenda and will be supported with an exhibition, workshops and training in response to engineers requiring any time away from the office to be productive and application-led, not sales-led.
We are also delighted that the quality of the conference agenda is such, that IET members are also able to submit their attendance at this event towards their CPD requirements.
“This is a fantastic addition to our smaller, user-group events which Hitex has become well-known for hosting”, said Mike Beach, MD of Hitex (UK) Ltd. “There are a few large “expo” style events and many smaller one-day technical conferences. The gap between these micro-events and the larger-sized events is wide and has created an opportunity to plug a gap, which I believe we will achieve with this event.”
An open floor
UKEmbedded is aimed at the entire embedded marketplace. This event will present an open and diverse profile of both speakers and exhibitors. Confirmed speakers include Green Hills Software, LDRA, Pebble Bay and Feabhas with more being added daily. The exhibitor list is also growing rapidly, with confirmed names including Infineon, DCA, The IET, LDRA and Thingstream, plus a healthy pipeline of others coming on board.
Additionally, we are hosting training workshops to run alongside the exhibition and conference, which will give delegates a truly fluid, yet immersive day.
An engineer focus
The day will be suitable for active engineers at all levels of experience. This will include junior engineers in their first roles, senior engineers exploring new boundaries, project managers, developers and designers. It's suitable for people in a wide variety of applications too whether that be automotive, energy, med-tech, R&D academic, communications, you name it, every sector!
The conference and exhibition is free to attend, with a £125 charge being made to secure places on the training workshops.
