This festive season the IET is hosting some great events including technical visits and fun Christmas talks, even giving you the chance to put your questions directly to a NASA engineer.
Every December the IET puts together a number of entertaining Christmas lectures across the UK and beyond. Many of this year’s talks revolve around the topic of space, including a 3D presentation on the wonders of space travel and an exciting Q&A session with Dr Ravi Margasahayam, an aerospace engineer with the International Space Station (ISS), NASA.
If you’re after something more interactive then you may want to tag along to one of this month’s technical visits – perhaps you’d like to take part in a tour of an operational RAF base where Tornado aircraft are maintained and upgraded, or venture into National Grid’s control centre to see how our power is managed.
Here are a few of our highlights for the month; be sure to check out the full IET events listings to find out about everything taking place near you.
