WISE women will apply for STEM scholarship

Applications are now being accepted for the 2015 Range Rover Evoque WISE Scholarship, aimed at young women planning a career in technology and engineering in the UK.

Developed by Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) and Jaguar Land Rover, the scholarship is open to those embarking on, or currently undertaking, an engineering, maths or physics degree course or apprenticeship in the UK this year.

Two scholarships are on offer: one for an undergraduate, the other for an apprentice. Both winners will receive mentoring support from key women within the industry.

"I felt honoured to be awarded the scholarship and it is great to see it open again for 2015, giving a helping hand to more young women like me," said 2014's Apprentice Award winner Ruby Holmes. "The programme provides fantastic support, both from a financial and mentorship viewpoint."

The closing date for entries is 28 July. Outstanding applicants will then be invited to interview and the winners will be announced at the Annual WISE Awards this November.
