May deadline for IET Achievement Awards nominations

There’s still time to nominate a colleague you believe has achieved something outstanding in their early career.

The IET Achievement Awards recognise individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to the advancement of engineering and technology either through research and development or through their leadership of an enterprise.

Several awards are specifically for early career professionals, recognising outstanding work, significant career progress or contributions made to their industry or profession.

These include the Sir Henry Royce Award for young professionals, awarded to a young engineering, IT professional or industrial trainee for outstanding achievement in the previous year in their work in industry or for the profession and the Mike Sargeant award, which is presented to a young professional who is judged to have made the most significant progress in their career over a number of years.

Nominations are still open, however the deadline for entries is 5pm on 25 May 2012.

To find out more or to nominate a colleague, head to the IET Achievement Awards website.
