Gemalto’s Just4YourEyes won the IT Security Sesames Award at the recent CARTES & IDentification trade show in Paris.
Just4YourEyes, which won the IT Security Sesames Award at the recent CARTES & IDentification trade show in Paris, allows for any mobile device to act as a single repository for the PKI credentials required to encrypt or sign emails. Those credentials can be accessed remotely by the email client via a secure cloud service.
Xavier Larduinat, Gemalto’s innovation director, is extremely upbeat about the development: “It is a truly revolutionary cloud computing application creating a secure access channel for any device,” he told E&T, though he pointed out that it will be a while before the system becomes commercially available.
The company sees secure cloud services as the way forward for enabling access to corporate content on-the-go, while easing digital rights and identities management.
Other Sesames winners include Obertur Technologies for ID One Digital Watermark, which flags up changes to identity documents; NXP Semiconductors, with its open source NFC software stack for Android; and Simartis Telecom for Bubble –a context-driven marketing application that mobile network operators can use to deliver advertising.
