Student bursaries announced for WES conference

12 student bursaries are available to those interested in attending the annual conference for the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) next month.

Female students in FE and HE are welcome to apply for one of 12 student bursaries currently available for Getting there  - the WES annual conference. Provided by Jaguar Land Rover, each bursary covers the student’s delegate rate plus a percentage towards travel costs for those travelling from outside London.

Scottish students can additionally apply to the WES Doris Gray Committee for their travel costs.

Held at the IET's London HQ Savoy Place, this is a great chance for students to meet other technical women and talk about jobs, career progression and work life balance in an informal environment. In addition, it could lead to a new job opportunity, as Jaguar Land Rover staff are interested in meeting potential graduate and apprentices applicants.

Be quick though, the deadline for applying is the end of the month. Further information can be found at http://conference.wes.org.uk/financial-support-and-bursaries.
