New Look's web tool catches bad posts before they go public

Fashion store New Look has installed WeSEE’s image recognition tool PiFilter to its New Look Daily social media/e-commerce site to protect users from unsuitable content postings.

New Look Daily provides a platform for members to interact, post interpretations of high street fashion and celebrity style sections, as well as purchase and recommend New Look products. The clothes retailer claims that its members spend on average 30 per cent more on products than those who visit the online store.

“WeSEE’s PiFilter helps us maintain high quality user-generated content, and enables us to provide a brand safe environment for all our customers,” says New Look digital marketing manager Melissa Loddo. “Using WeSEE’s image detection and recognition system alongside content control services, we are giving our users extra online protection.”

PiFilter uses a recognition system which detects inappropriate content posted by rogue users before they have the option to publish it. New Look Daily’s online administrators can identify this content at the point of upload, and using either mobiles or PCs, can remove inadvertent and intentional abuse.

WeSEE specialises in Web search, online advertising and content direction technology. Its technology provides artificial intelligence and pattern recognition system.
