G4S has announced its acquisition of the offender monitoring technology operations of Guidance Limited.

Guidance Monitoring, which is headquartered in Leicester, was formed in the early 1990s by current MD Malcolm Roberts and product director John Potter.
It designs and manufactures a range of state-of-the-art electronic monitoring technologies, including hardware and software used for offender monitoring and tracking.
Guidance Monitoring has become a leading international supplier of electronic monitoring technologies which use GPS, radio frequency and biometric technology.
G4S has worked with Guidance Monitoring since 2001, and currently uses its technology to deliver electronic monitoring services to the Ministry of Justice.
Guidance Monitoring also recently won contracts to become the sole provider of technology to the national EM programmes in Saudi Arabia, France and Norway.
