Twitter users can now tweet to find the best prices for products sold on Amazon.
Users, who included @sggst and the name of a product in a tweet, received a tweet back with a link to buy the product at the best price available on Amazon.
The service worked by recognising tweets that mentioned @sggst along with other content and then searched the Amazon product database.
A link was then tweeted back to the person who sent the original tweet, and they could click and buy the product from the link.
Currently @sggst queried the Amazon UK database, but there were plans to roll out the service globally and with other major retailers. Any retailer with an API and an affiliate scheme was eligible.
