Successful modernisation of power plant I&C in Pljevlja Montenegro

Pljevlja, which went on line in 1982, is the only coal-fired power plant in Montenegro and meets 30 per cent of the country’s power demand. For that reason fast-track modernization of the power plant was extremely important. Thanks to the efforts made by a strong international team comprising 45 Siemens colleagues from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a further 120 subcontractor employees the power plant was back on line in December 2009.
