Fujitsu inks �27.5m outsourcing contract with Davis Langdon

Davis Langdon LLP has signed a five-year IT outsourcing contract with Fujitsu, which will manage the global construction consultancy’s IT infrastructure and services for over 2000 staff across Europe and the Middle East. Davis Langdon has worked on a number of prestige projects including Liverpool Paradise Project.

Fujitsu will provide an integrated service that includes a service desk, applications and infrastructure support, desktop managed services, network management and the provision of storage and computer capacity through Fujitsu’s utility based ‘Infrastructure-as-a-Service’.

Davis Langdon LLP is a global construction consultancy, providing managed solutions for clients investing in infrastructure, property and construction, worldwide. The firm has worked on a number of prestige projects including Westfield London, the Tate Modern, Liverpool One, the Royal Festival Hall, and the Eden Project Cornwall.

For the fifth year running, Davis Langdon LLP has been also ranked in the Sunday Times ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ league table. The firm has more than 5,000 staff in 105 offices worldwide.

Neil Ashton, Davis Langdon’s head of procurement and supplier management says: “The RFI we issued in the spring had a number of challenging requirements - from being able to reduce the level of fixed costs in the existing service, to offering a flexible support model across the regions to vary the level of support and cost, to aid in cost management as well reducing the volume of calls to the helpdesk.”

The contract is reported to be worth £27.5m through to 2014.
