Could you be crowned Undergraduate of the Year 2012?
2011’s Engineering Undergrad of the Year winner William Ramsey, being presented his award.
Targetjobs Undergraduate of the Year award categories include engineering and IT and computer sciences, however the closing date for entries is very, very close – 31 January.
The prestigious annual engineering competition for Engineering Undergraduate of the Year is sponsored by E.ON, and is open to all pre-final year mechanical and electrical engineering undergraduates.
To apply simply head online before 31 January, answer three special questions posed by E.ON and undertake three online tests, which should take around 90 minutes to complete. Then it’s a matter of sitting and waiting to see if you’re one of the 30-70 candidates shortlisted for the prize.
The winner will receive a year-long paid placement with E.ON and a trip for two to the Netherlands and all shortlisted students will be invited to the Awards event in London in April to meet other students and members of the company.
The Targetjobs competition also has other categories, including IT and Computer Science Undergraduate of the Year. This category is sponsored by BT and is open to penultimate year undergraduate studying IT, computer science, electronics, electronic engineering, maths, physics or closely related subjects. The prize is a 12-week summer placement working within BT Innovate and Design, a brand new HP laptop and a chance to be fast-tracked to their graduate assessment centre.
Not only are these both fantastic prizes, winning an award is going to look great on your CV and make you irresistible to future employers. But don’t delay, enter before midnight on 31 January for both categories. Go to http://undergraduateoftheyear.com for further information and to apply.
